Journal #11
Brutus is not the most noble Roman because he was not loyal to his country. He also killed Caesar which could of been solved in a better way. Lastly, because he killed himself in a time where they still needed him so he kind of let down his country.

No, because he said he wouldn't kill himself. He also said he wouldn't be a coward. So I think Brutus would not commit suicide but more like stand up for himself and go for things he wants and believes in. It is a difficult decision because everyone else is dead. He is the only one left standing and he doesn't just want to let everyone down and kill himself as well.

Why does Brutus’s speech in Scene ii ultimately fail?
Brutus's speech ultimately fails because he did not stand by what he was saying. He went against his word by talking bad about the people that were there for him. He got all the conspirators on his side in his plan to kill Caesar and now he is just turning his back on them when they never did that to him. Also Mark Antony spoke right after him so he was a lot more convincing and more people listened and believed what he had to say because his words were more intelligent.

One time I had to convince my parents to let me go to Minnesota for qualifiers for club volleyball. I succeeded by telling them I would room with my friend and they did not have to go so we would not have to pay as much.
I used logos because I needed to compromise with my parents to make them let me go.

I don't necessarily think Caesar HAD to die. Sometimes there is situations where it could be for the best though. I think Caesar was responsible for his own death. He had too much power and couldn't handle it. He took advantage of his power so people turned against him, including his best friend, Brutus. If Caesar would have just used his power to more people's advantage rather than just his own the death would have never happened. Caesar's death is also kind of on the conspirators too though. Even some people that didn't really have a say in it had to stab Caesar because they were convinced to turn against him. It was their fault that they couldn't of thought of a better way of doing things. In conclusion, Caesar's death was put on both, Caesar and the conspirators because they both took part of the assassination.
